Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is centred around the view that alpha generation is more valuable than any other source of returns. Experience has taught us that if the alpha is strong, quality capital can be found. It is alpha, not capital, which is the scarce resource – we focus our efforts solely on seeking it out. 

When we find a manager we’re excited by, we do all we can to support their continued success and overall performance. We work to build long-term partnerships; we provide advice and analysis when it’s needed – and step back when it’s not.

We know just how difficult it is to generate consistent alpha, and we understand that to excel at it is a testament to a resilient process carefully honed over time. The best alpha-focused managers will have both a method and a mindset that sets them apart from the crowd. Finding them is no mean feat, but succeeding makes the long search worthwhile!
